Find an issue labeled with defcon31
in our GitHub organization here and start working on it.
Contribute
Create a pull request (PR) to the project where the issue is or to the nuclei-templates repository to add a new template.
Sign Up for Rewards
Once you’ve submitted your pull request, fill out the registration form here so that we can be in touch with prizes and more information. If you complete multiple PRs - submit multiple entries for more chances to win!
Earn Points
Earn bonus entries for the grand prizes for any template you submit for a CVE classified as a KVE, including a working POC or fixing templates that produce false positive results!

Grand Prize: Every contribution and all bonus points will enter you in the raffle for the grand prize - a Lego Space Shuttle Discovery.

To be eligible for rewards, your contributions must either be a code for an existing or already approved issue or a tested and working nuclei-template for a known CVE from 2020 or later.
Additionally, your contributions must not be spam and comply with our Contributor Code of Conduct.

Yes! Fill out the registration form for every PR you create. You’ll get a raffle entry for each of them.

You can earn bonus points by contributing to any CVE classified as a KVE, including a working POC, or fixing templates that produce false positive or false negative results.
These points will then give you additional entries in the grand prize raffle.

The raffle winners will be determined by random draw based on number of contributions and bonus points.
You must follow all of the rules outlined here and be sure to enroll your submission by submitting this form.

Join us at DEF CON Demo Labs for an end-to-end demonstration of the power of Nuclei and Nuclei templates in recon, attack surface management, and vulnerability detection.
Details
General
By participating, entrants agree to abide by these rules. Any abuse of the rules, including but not limited to creating multiple accounts for the purpose of increasing chances of winning, may result in disqualification.
Eligibility
The raffle for the Countdown to Discovery bounty program is open to all users who submit pull request during the raffle period.
Entry
Each significant contribution to an issue labeled with defcon31 counts as one entry. A significant contribution is defined as a pull request that leads to a reasonable solution to the issue or for a nuclei template against the specified CVEs
Raffle Period
The raffle starts on July 1, 2023 and ends on August 13, 2023. All entries must be received to the entry form before the end of the day, US Pacific Time on August 13.
Selection of winners
At the end of the raffle period, winners will be chosen at random from all eligible entries. The selection process will be conducted using a random number generator.
Notification
The winners will be notified via their GitHub account. If a winner does not respond within a week of being notified, they will forfeit their prize and a new winner will be selected.
Prizes
The grand prize will be specified in the raffle announcement. No cash or other substitution of prizes is permitted.
Disputes
In the event of a dispute, the decision of the organizers will be final and binding.
